In an Emergency
1. Call the Poison Center Hotline (1-800-222-1222) if you or another person have been poisoned, or think you have been exposed to something that might cause an unwanted and/or unexpected reaction.
2. Remain calm - the majority of poison emergencies can be resolved quickly; over the phone
3. Call 9-1-1 if the person is unconscious or has difficulty breathing.

The IPC sincerely appreciates your interest in sharing poison prevention information with your family, friends and/community. Due to budget cuts, we are unable to fulfill your request at this time.
However, we can provide you with FREE poison prevention materials (stickers, magnets, children’s activity sheets/book, videos, handouts, posters, etc.) and presentation tools for your event/activity.
We first ask that you complete the IPC's FREE, quick and easy online Poison Prevention Education Course. After completing the entire course, you’ll have immediate access to the online Poison Prevention Education Resource Center for all your future outreach/education events or activities.
